Cicada Sing-Along

Daria from @dariasworldmusic just sent me a copy of her new book, which I’m really excited to share with you all. It’s called “Cicada Sing-Along” (Amazon affiliate link)!

This past month, our neighborhood was absolutely filled with songs of cicadas, so this is the perfect book to remind us of the sounds of summer.

Daria has also created a music video on YouTube to accompany the book, but the rhythm of the book is also very conducive to creating your own melody, too!

In the back of the book are fun facts all about cicadas that kids will find fascinating (I actually learned a lot of new info about them, like the fact that only the male cicadas sing and cicadas can be louder than a lawnmower!)

A bonus I want to mention is that she also has a free Cicada Sing-Along Resource Pack available on her teacher-pay-teachers site (World Music with Daria). I also love these adorable stickers and bookmarks she sent with it!

Thanks again for this book, Daria, and I hope y’all check it out!

Ps. This book was a gift, but all opinions are my own! :)
