Props for Singable Books: Part 1

📣 Introducing Part 1 of my “Props for Singable Books” series!

“What a Wonderful World”: Use colorful scarves and the printout from the Singable Book Club to work on color identification.

“The Animal Boogie”: Practice all of the animal moves mentioned in the book on the big, Remo gathering drum!

“Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?” is perfect to use with a small dog figurine set .  Place the dogs in/on/under items to practice where/preposition questions!

“Mail Myself to You” pairs well with this play mailbox from Learning Resources. Put whatever you’re working on in the mailbox: core words, WH questions, conversation cards, movement prompts, and more! This is such a versatile prop to use.

“Jingle Bells”: Using a variety of bells is a classic choice to accompany this familiar tune.

The 12 Days of Valentine’s”: Use a Valentine’s-themed sensory bin that the student can use while you read this book. With each day mentioned, find that many items in the bin (i.e. on the 8th day, find 8 items).
